We first watched "The Secret" DVD about just over a year ago and have watched it many times. The one point which hit us with a bolt of lighting that first time was the power of visualization.
We had for many years had goal lists with time frames attached, most of which we never achieved and every now and then we would reset the list and change time frames. In our thinking they would happen if we were more realistic about the time frame. We thought just making the list and filling it away in our journal was enough, some how it would just happen.
But of course it never did.
Then we heard about "The Secret" and learned the power of visualization. So we went about creating a Vision board. Over the next couple of weeks we collected pictures of things we wanted in our lives. We even visited a local Winnebago dealership, picked the vehicle to suit our needs, following a lengthy discussion with the owner of the dealership, and Anne had a photo's taken sitting in the drivers seat. Back home with the photo's loaded onto the computer, she created our personal number plate on the photo and loaded as our screen saver.
Now we knew we would get this, and spent many hours just looking at it and our new vision board.
Three months later nothing happened and we were growing impatient, we wanted it all and yesterday.
So we watched "The Secret" again, and found we had missed the vital information the first time.
We had been so excited about visualization we had not really watched the rest of the time as our minds were racing about what we could do with this new information. It was at this point we both realised we needed to re watch this DVD many times to enable ue to extract all the information.
Visualization also needs Emotion attached to it before it can start to change our mind set. Armed with this new information we wrote out our ultimate goal.
You know the one
Its so big it scares the hell out of us but nothing excites us more. We can now see the whole project completed and in use.
